I don't recommend investing in a skateboard in the toy store. They're appropriate for attempting to ride a skateboard, but once you start learning methods you'll regret you purchase the vehicle.

Prebuild completes

Prebuild completes are skateboards already develop to suit your needs. They are less costly than buying all the parts seperately, however, you cannot select the parts yourself. That is not a sizable problem for novices though.

Ensure to find out if all the parts are ok, some completes have a very pro deck, but bad trucks or bearings.

If you're just beginning, acquiring a prebuild complete is probably advisable.
